My 10 Nights In Pattaya

Alright lads, it's your boy Nete here, solo backpacker from down under, finally touching down in the madhouse that is **Pattaya**, Thailand. Been dreaming about this spot for ages – the beaches, the chaos, the legendary nightlife. Landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) after a long haul from Oz, feeling knackered but buzzing. Flight got in around midday, grabbed my bag, and sorted a private transfer straight to the hotel – about 2,000 baht, door-to-door, no mucking about with buses or waiting. Worth every baht after 10+ hours in the air; driver was spot on, air-con blasting, dropped me right at the lobby in under 2 hours despite some traffic.

Chose **The Camelot Hotel Pattaya** right near Walking Street – dead central, like 5-10 minute stagger to the action. Why this one? It's budget-friendly (around 1,000-1,500 baht a night), guest-friendly (no drama bringing company back), clean enough for a backpacker, has a pool to chill by during the day, and you're smack in the middle of everything without being right in the neon madness 24/7. Walking Street Guest House looked too basic, and I didn't fancy something fancy like Siam Bayshore – wanted that easy access for late nights but a proper bed to crash in.

**Day 1: Arrival & Easy Night**
Checked in, had a quick shower, then wandered Beach Road for a sunset – grabbed some street pad thai and a cold Singha. Jet lag hit, so kept it light: strolled into Walking Street around 9pm just to get the vibe. Neon everywhere, music pumping, girls calling out from bars. Popped into a couple of beer bars on the strip for a drink, then headed to **Club Insomnia** for a boogie – massive sound system, lights going mental, stayed till about 2am. Crashed hard.

**Day 2: Beach & Recovery**
Slept in, pool morning with a coffee. Hit Pattaya Beach – water's alright, plenty of umbrellas and sunbeds (rented one for 100 baht). Watched the world go by, jet skis zooming. Afternoon: wandered Soi Buakhao for cheap eats – massive plate of som tam and grilled chicken for peanuts. Night: started at Soi 6 (short time bars, lively early evening), then Walking Street. Checked out **Windmill Club** on Soi Diamond – known for being one of the naughtiest go-go spots, wild shows, energetic girls, proper fun vibe. Had a few lady drinks, chatted, ended up back late.

**Day 3: Island Day Trip**
Booked a speedboat to Koh Larn (Coral Island) – 30 mins out, beautiful clear water, white sand. Snorkeled a bit, chilled on the beach, fresh seafood lunch. Back by afternoon, napped. Night: **XS A Go Go** on Walking Street – massive place, top girls, high energy, stages pumping. One of the big ones, felt like the king of the strip.

**Day 4: Temple & Chill**
Big Buddha Hill (Wat Phra Yai) in the morning – massive golden statue, cracking views over the city. Peaceful change from the nights. Afternoon beach again. Night: explored **Soi LK Metro** – bit more relaxed than Walking Street, heaps of beer bars and go-gos. Ended at **Pin Up A Go Go** – consistently ranked high, quality lineup, great atmosphere, stayed for the shows.

**Day 5: Shopping & Markets**
Terminal 21 Pattaya mall – air-con heaven, themed floors, cheap food court. Grabbed some new threads. Evening: Thepprasit Night Market for street food and souvenirs. Night out: **Palace A Go Go** – classic high-end feel, beautiful dancers, classy vibe compared to some.

**Day 6: Lazy Beach Day**
Full recovery mode – pool, beach, massage on the sand (300 baht hour, bliss). Night: back to Walking Street, hit **Baccara** – love the constant rotation on stage, fun energy.

**Day 7: Sanctuary of Truth**
Morning trip to the wooden temple – impressive carving, bit of culture. Afternoon chill. Night: **Fahrenheit** – solid go-go, good crowd.

**Day 8: More Nightlife Exploration**
Daytime: wandered Jomtien Beach for a quieter vibe, seafood dinner. Night: **Club Insomnia** again – couldn't resist, place is addictive for dancing till dawn.

**Day 9: Last Big Night**
Beach morning, then prepped for the finale. Hit **Windmill** one more time (naughty as ever), then **XS** and **Pin Up**. Bounced between spots, met some legends, proper send-off.

**Day 10: Departure Day**
Slept in, last pool dip, grabbed a final beachside beer. Private transfer back to airport in the afternoon – smooth as. Pattaya, you absolute mad place – 10 nights of sun, chaos, laughs, and stories I'll never forget. If you're a single bloke looking for wild times, this spot delivers. Till next time, Thailand – cheers!

Safe travels, lads. Drop a comment if you've been – what's your fave spot? 🍻🇹🇭
